What is Life Coaching?
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Life coaching focuses on the present and the future. Where are you now and where would you like to be? As your coach, I listen and ask you thought-provoking questions and implement tools and techniques to empower you to discover your own answers and direct the course of your life. We work through mental blocks, organize complex issues, determine your priorities and values, and set goals to achieve your desired outcome.

Therapy focuses more on the past and the subconscious in order to understand current behaviors, which could heal deeper issues such as depression and mood disorders.

As my health & mental fitness coach, what can you do for me?
I’m here to help you become the healthiest version of yourself. “Healthy” encompasses your spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional well-being. We work on reframing your mindset, building confidence, and creating healthy habits while getting rid of bad ones.

As a NASM-certified personal fitness trainer, I also design customized fitness programs for my clients and provide nutritional recommendations.

I'm here to listen to you and help you gain a more positive perspective, build your confidence, and create a healthy routine to get you physically fit. Together, we will create a plan and I’ll hold you accountable for all action steps.

What does a life coaching session look like?
In our first session, which is called our “Discovery Session,” we discuss where you are in life, what changes you would like to make, and where you would like to be. In short, we discuss the results you're seeking. We get to know each other so we both have an understanding of our coaching relationship. In each coaching session thereafter, we talk about your progress and I hold you accountable for any action steps you had from our last session. Then, you bring any issue, concern, or new goals to the table, and I coach you through it. The session ends with any insights you have about yourself or the situation and action steps for our next session in order to move the needle forward. Most people partner with a life coach because they are unhappy or unfulfilled with one or more areas of their life so they want change. Clients are committed to do the work in order to change the direction of their lives for the better.

What type of issues do we talk about?
Whatever you want to discuss. We set goals at the beginning of our coaching relationship so we usually focus on a goal, but life happens, and new areas of concern come up, so new issues arise. It’s your session, so you set the topic for the day.

What does a fitness session look like?
Personal training sessions are held online or in-person (Los Angeles) and consist of high intensity interval training, strength training, and kickboxing drills depending on your fitness goals. We will discuss your needs during your initial assessment.

What happens in the free 30 minute introductory session?
In this complimentary session for life coaching, we get to know each other to see if our partnership would be a good fit for the both of us. We have a conversation about your issues and goals and how coaching can help you achieve them.

What type of progress can I expect?
Life Coaching: Although we are forming a partnership, ultimately, the progress is in your hands. My obligation as your coach is to support and empower you to get to the healthiest, most confident version of yourself. I want you to reach your goals, I want to see you succeed, I want you to crush those mental blocks, I want you to live your dream! I will be your biggest advocate, but you are in charge of your life.

Personal Training: If you follow through with your workouts and nutrition plan, along with 7-8 hours of solid sleep nightly, and learn to manage your stress, you will see and feel a positive change in your body and mindset.

Do you prescribe medication?
No. I’m not a licensed medical professional or nutritionist and I do not prescribe medication. I’m a certified life coach and a NASM-certified personal fitness trainer.

How long is each session and how many sessions do I need to see results?
Each session is 50 minutes and most clients meet with me once a week for life coaching. For personal training, clients train 2-3x/week. Depending on your issues and goals, our coaching relationship could be 3, 6, or 12+ months. It takes time, patience, consistency, and discipline to form new habits.

Are the life coaching sessions confidential?
Absolutely. Ethically, I’m bound to not discuss our conversations with anyone. I also don’t disclose our relationship to anyone unless you give me permission to do so. For testimonials, I simply put your first name if you don’t wish to reveal your identity.
